Owen Thomas

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Owen D. Thomas is a recognized leader in the real estate industry with more than 35 years of executive leadership, strategic planning, management and international experience, as well as substantial experience in financial and capital markets.

Mr. Thomas is the Chairman and CEO of BXP. He is currently a Director of Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. and served as its first Chairman from 2012 until 2013 when he joined BXP. Prior to Lehman, Mr. Thomas was with Morgan Stanley for 24 years serving in a number of different roles, including Chief Executive Officer of Morgan Stanley Asia Ltd., President of Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Head of Morgan Stanley Real Estate and Managing Director. He also served on Morgan Stanley's Management Committee from 2005 until 2011. Mr. Thomas was previously a Director of Grosvenor Group Limited from 2011 to 2013.

Mr. Thomas is a member and former Global Chairman of the Urban Land Institute, a Director of the Real Estate Roundtable, a member of the Advisory Board of Governors of Nareit and a member of the Economic Club of New York. He previously served as Chairman of the Pension Real Estate Association and as a Director of the University of Virginia Investment Management Company. He attended and is Chair of the Board of Trustees at Woodberry Forest School, received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Douglas T. Linde

President and Director

Douglas T. Linde has more than 35 years of experience in the real estate industry, including as President of BXP and our former Chief Financial Officer, during which time he gained extensive knowledge of the real estate industry, capital markets and real estate finance, as well as substantial experience in transactional, operational and accounting matters.

Mr. Linde is the President of BXP. Prior to his appointment as President in May 2007, he served as Executive Vice President since January 2005 and he also served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer from September 2000 until November 2007. He joined BXP in January 1997 as Vice President of Acquisitions and New Business to help identify and execute acquisitions and to develop new business opportunities, and he was promoted to Senior Vice President for Financial and Capital Markets in October 1998.

Prior to joining BXP, Mr. Linde served as President of Capstone Investments, a Boston real estate investment company from 1993 to 1997 and as Project Manager and Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer at Wright Runstad and Company, a private real estate developer in Seattle, WA from 1989 to 1993. He began his career in the real estate industry with Salomon Brothers' Real Estate Finance Group.

Mr. Linde is a Trustee of the Beth Israel Lahey Health Board of Trustees. Mr. Linde is also a Director Emeritus of the Board of Directors of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center ("BIDMC") and co-chairs the BIDMC capital campaign. He is a member of the Real Estate Roundtable and is Trustee Emeritus of the Wesleyan University Board of Trustees. He is a former director of the Boston Municipal Research Bureau and Jobs for Massachusetts and the Urban Studies and Planning Visiting Committee at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mr. Linde received a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Michael E. LaBelle

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Michael LaBelle serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer of BXP. He was named Executive Vice President in January 2016 and Chief Financial Officer in October of 2007. Prior to that, Mr. LaBelle served as Senior Vice President of Finance & Capital Markets. Since joining BXP in March 2000, Mr. LaBelle has held positions, including Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer from November 2007 to January 2016, Senior Vice President, Finance from February 2005 to November 2007 and Vice President, Finance from March 2000 to February 2005. His primary responsibilities include overseeing finance, capital markets, accounting, investor relations, tax, internal audit, treasury management, credit underwriting, and financial strategy and planning. Prior to joining BXP, Mr. LaBelle was a Vice President & Relationship Manager with Fleet National Bank from 1991 to 2000 with the responsibility of financing large-scale commercial real estate developments. He started his career as an Associate National Bank Examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in New York City specializing in commercial real estate debt portfolio analysis and valuation in commercial banks located throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States. He serves as member of the National Advisory Board for the University of Colorado Real Estate Center and a member of the Board of the Legacy Fund of the Medfield Foundation. Mr. LaBelle holds a BS degree in Economics from the University of Colorado.

Rodney C. Diehl

Executive Vice President, West Coast Regions

Rodney C. Diehl serves as Executive Vice President, West Coast Regions for BXP. Mr. Diehl is the executive in charge of overseeing BXP’s West Coast operations and developing new business opportunities in the San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Seattle Regions. Prior to his appointment to this role, Mr. Diehl was Senior Vice President, Leasing, San Francisco, responsible for all Bay Area leasing activities. Prior to joining BXP in 2005, Mr. Diehl worked for Bedford Property Investors where he held positions of Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and Regional Manager for Northern California. He also worked for Koll Management Services and Cushman & Wakefield from 1994 to 1997.

Mr. Diehl is a licensed real estate broker in the State of California, and is a member of Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, International Council of Shopping Centers and the Policy Advisory Board, Fisher Center for Real Estate + Urban Economics He holds a BA in Economics from the University of California at Davis and an MBA from St. Mary’s College.

Richard Ellis

Senior Vice President, Residential – Washington, D.C. Region

Rich Ellis is a Senior Vice President with BXP and runs the Company’s residential platform on a national basis. Since joining BXP in 2007 as a Project Manager, Rich has held leadership responsibilities on various projects within the Washington, D.C. area and has been directly responsible for the acquisition, budgeting, scheduling, leasing, design, and overall development execution for BXP projects totaling over 5 Million square feet. These projects include the Avenue (Washington, DC), South of Market (Reston, VA), Wisconsin Place (Chevy Chase, MD), The Avant and Signature (Reston, VA), RTC Next (Reston, VA), and Skymark (Reston, VA). In 2010, he was promoted to Senior Project Manager, in 2014 to Vice President, and in 2021 to Senior Vice President. In 2019 Rich became the head of the Company’s residential business line, overseeing all aspects of BXP’s $1B+ multifamily portfolio which today includes 2,220 in-service units and a pipeline of an additional 5,000+ units. He leads all asset management, sourcing, and capital markets efforts for the residential business.

Rich received his Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration from The Darden School at the University of Virginia. He is an active member of organizations including NAIOP, NMHC, and ULI where he sits on the Multi-Family Gold Product Council.

Helen Han

Vice President, Investor Relations

Helen Han serves as Vice President, Investor Relations for BXP where she is responsible for leading and executing the investor relations program and ensuring BXP is appropriately and strategically positioned with analysts, investors, and stakeholders. Prior to her appointment to this role in 2022, Ms. Han was the head of marketing for the San Francisco region as well as the Los Angeles and Seattle regions. She is a graduate from the University of California Los Angeles. Ms. Han sat on several boards on the West Coast including BOMA California, BOMA SF Political Action Committee, Transbay Joint Powers Authority Citizen Advisory Committee, Guadalupe River Park Conservancy and the Children’s Creativity Museum.

Heather Kahn

Senior Vice President, Leasing – New York Region

Heather Kahn serves as Senior Vice President, Leasing for the New York Region at BXP and is responsible for leasing BXP’s New York City office portfolio. She joined BXP in 2014 as a Vice President and demonstrated success in executing many of the large and complex transactions in the region, played a predominant roll in the strategic lease-up of 399 Park Avenue and was responsible for the NYU transaction at 601 Lexington Avenue. Heather developed a broad industry knowledge base beginning her career as a financial analyst at LaSalle Investment Management and working for Tishman Speyer where she held positions in Portfolio Management, Asset Management as a Regional Financial Director and Leasing.

Heather is a licensed real estate broker in the State of New York and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. Heather was selected by the Partnership for New York City to be a David Rockefeller Fellow in 2022, she is a Board Member of the Times Square Alliance, recently joined the NY All Stars Board and volunteers weekly as a running guide with Achilles International. Heather received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Loyola University.

Bryan J. Koop

Executive Vice President, Boston Region

Bryan J. Koop serves as Executive Vice President, Boston Region of BXP. Prior to his appointment to this position in January 2016, Mr. Koop served as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of our Boston office since 1999. Mr. Koop is responsible for overseeing the operation of our regional portfolio in the Boston area, which includes the Boston CBD, Cambridge, and Waltham/Lexington submarkets. He is also responsible for developing new business opportunities in the area. Prior to joining BXP in 1999, Mr. Koop served various positions at Trammell Crow Company from 1982 to 1999 where his career covered high-rise office building leasing and the development of commercial office buildings and shopping centers, including Partner, Managing Director- Regional Leader for Trammell Crow Company's New England region, which included all commercial office and shopping center operations. Mr. Koop is a member of the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Chapter of NAIOP, the Boston Children’s Hospital Champions for Children’s Board, the Kendall Square Association and the Ron Burton Training Village, a Global Governing Trustee of the ULI and founding member of the Boston Green Ribbon Commission. He previously served as Chairman of the Back Bay Association. Mr. Koop received a BBA and an MBA from Texas Christian University.

Andrew D. Levin

Senior Vice president, Leasing – New York Region

Mr. Levin is head of the leasing team responsible for an over 10 million square-foot, 10 building portfolio and is active in generating new business opportunities as part of the leadership of the New York office of BXP. He joined the company in May 1996 and began his career in the real estate industry with the Edward S. Gordon Company consulting group. Mr. Levin holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Boston University’s School of Management.

Mr. Levin is a licensed broker in the State of New York and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. Mr. Levin is also a member of the Young Men’s and Women’s Real Estate Association, Chairman of the board of Creative Arts Works, and a board member of the Grand Central Partnership and the Fifth Avenue BID. In 2005, he was selected by the Partnership for New York City to be a David Rockefeller Fellow.

James Magaldi

Senior Vice President, Finance & Capital Markets

James Magaldi serves as Senior Vice President of Finance & Capital Markets at BXP. In this role, he oversees the company’s capital raising efforts across public and private debt and equity markets, supports acquisition and disposition activities, manages relationships with rating agencies, and leads treasury investments, private equity initiatives, and client credit underwriting. Mr. Magaldi joined BXP in 2008 following a ten-year tenure at Bank of America, where he served as Senior Vice President, leading a team of commercial real estate loan originators and portfolio managers. He also held the role of Relationship Manager, focusing on commercial real estate financing for both corporate and property-specific transactions. He began his career as a commercial real estate credit analyst at Fleet National Bank. Mr. Magaldi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross.

Patrick Mulvihill

Senior Vice President, Leasing - Boston Region

Patrick Mulvihill serves as Senior Vice President, Leasing for the Boston Region at BXP.

Patrick began his career at BXP in 2007 as a Leasing Representative. For 12 years, Patrick spearheaded the office and retail leasing for BXP’s urban assets and development sites including the Prudential Center, 200 Clarendon Street, Atlantic Wharf, 100 Federal Street, The Hub on Causeway and Kendall Center. In 2019, Patrick assumed leadership of BXP’s Boston Regional Leasing Department where he is responsible for overseeing and implementing the strategic marketing and leasing of BXP’s 17 million square foot Boston Region portfolio.

During his career, Patrick has been involved in many large complex office, Life Science and retail deals including transactions with AstraZeneca, Bain Capital, The Broad Institute, Biogen, Google, Verizon, Bank of America, Putnam Investments, Wellington Management Company, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Akamai, Rapid7, Translate Bio, Eataly and Star Market.

Patrick is currently leading the marketing of BXP's newest developments including 171 Dartmouth street in Boston’s Back Bay and the expansion of CityPoint. Additionally, as part of the BXP Life Sciences initiative, Patrick is currently leading the leasing efforts for a 4M SF portfolio of R&D, laboratory, and manufacturing facilities for the life sciences industry in Greater Boston.

Ben Myers

Senior Vice President, Sustainability

Ben Myers serves as Senior Vice President, Sustainability, where he is responsible for sustainability strategy, implementation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. He has a genuine passion for sustainable real estate and is committed to disrupting the status quo as an industry leader on climate action, resilience, green building, renewable energy, healthy workspaces, and urban ecosystems. Prior to being appointed to the role in 2015, Mr. Myers held positions in construction management at the Company, as well as green building services at Harvard University. Mr. Myers holds an MA in Urban Environmental Leadership from Lesley University and a BS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Rich Monopoli

Senior Vice President, Development - New York Region

Richard T. Monopoli oversees all new investment and development activity for BXP’s New York region. Since joining BXP in 2005, Mr. Monopoli has built or acquired over six million square feet of office, life- science and mixed-use projects and has secured an additional four million square feet of development rights. Notable projects include 343 Madison and 3HB in New York, redevelopment of the Hancock Garage and Back Bay MBTA Station in Boston, Massachusetts, and development of The Broad Institute’s state-of-the-art lab facility at 75 Ames Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Prior to joining BXP, Rich was a Vice President of Acquisitions at LaSalle Investment Management where he sourced and closed over two hundred million dollars of core and value-add transactions. Mr. Monopoli also spent five years as a consulting structural engineer with SGH with a focus on building envelope technology and forensic engineering.

Mr. Monopoli is a former member of the New York District Urban Land Institute’s Advisory Board and a past co-chair of UDMUC District Council. He is currently a Vice-Chair of UDMUC Red. He is a CFA Charter holder and a frequent panel member at industry events and has guest lectured at the Kellogg School of Management and Columbia School of Business. Rich received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management.

Pete Otteni

Executive Vice President, Co-Head of the Washington, D.C. Region

Pete Otteni serves as Executive Vice President, Co-Head of the Washington, D.C. Region of BXP. In this role, Mr. Otteni is jointly responsible for regional business activities and is directly responsible for overseeing all development, construction and marketing activities for BXP’s Washington, D.C. region. Prior to his appointment to this position in January 2022, Mr. Otteni served as Senior Vice President, Co-Head of the Washington, D.C. Region. Mr. Otteni joined BXP in 2000 and held various other positions in the Development department, including Vice President, Development from 2006 to 2016, and Senior Vice President and Head of Development from 2016 to 2021. Mr. Otteni is a member of the Board of the National Capital Area Region for the March of Dimes. Mr. Otteni received a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia and an MBA, Real Estate from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Hilary Spann

Executive Vice President, New York Region

Hilary Spann has served as Executive Vice President, New York Region of BXP since September 2021. In this role Ms. Spann is responsible for overseeing all aspects of BXP’s New York and Princeton, New Jersey activities, including development, acquisitions, leasing, property management and construction activities. From March 2016 until July 2021, Ms. Spann held various positions at CPP Investments including Managing Director, Head of Real Estate Investments Americas from July 2017 to July 2021, and Managing Director, Head of United States Real Estate Investments from March 2016 to July 2017. During her tenure at CPP, Ms. Spann was responsible for leading all aspects of the Americas real estate business, including investment strategy and execution, talent acquisition and management, and portfolio management. Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2016, Ms. Spann held several executive roles in acquisitions and asset management in the Global Alternatives Group at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, including Managing Director, Head of Northeast Acquisitions from May 2001 to February 2016. Ms. Spann is a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute the Citizens Budget Commission and Madison Square Park Conservancy, a member of the Board of Governors of Real Estate Board of New York and the Real Estate Life Science Advisory Board, New York City, and the Economic Club of New York. She was a former Director of the ULI Foundation. Ms. Spann has served as an independent Director and a member of the Sustainability Committee of Goodman Group (ASX:GMG), since April 2022. Ms. Spann graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a BS in Architecture and a Masters of City Planning, both from the College of Architecture. She also studied architecture at L’École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris – La Villette.

John (Jake) Stroman

Executive Vice President, Co-Head of the Washington, D.C. Region

Jake Stroman serves as Executive Vice President, Co-Head of the Washington, D.C. Region of BXP. In this role, Mr. Stroman is jointly responsible for regional business activities, and he is directly responsible for overseeing all leasing, legal and property management activities of BXP’s Washington, D.C. region. Prior to his appointment to this position in January 2022, Mr. Stroman served as Senior Vice President, Co-Head of the Washington, D.C. Region. Mr. Stroman joined BXP in 2005 and held various other positions, including Vice President, Development from 2011 to 2019, Vice President, Leasing from 2019 to 2020 and Senior Vice President, Leasing from 2020 to April 2021. Mr. Stroman received a BS in Civil Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and an MBA, Real Estate from the University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Christine Yuen

Christine Yuen

Senior Vice President, Leasing – San Francisco Region

Christine Yuen joined BXP in 2005 and has since advanced through several key roles: Leasing Representative in 2008, Leasing Manager in 2013, Director of Leasing in 2017, Vice President of Leasing in 2019, and Senior Vice President of Leasing in 2024. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Communication, with a minor in Managerial Economics, from the University of California, Davis, and is a licensed California Real Estate Salesperson.

Throughout her tenure at BXP, Christine has focused on premier workplace leasing, serving as lead negotiator on numerous significant transactions across BXP’s portfolio. Her expertise extends across various sectors, including life sciences, R&D, and retail. She has also supported projects in the Los Angeles and Seattle markets. Currently, Christine oversees all leasing activities in the San Francisco region, managing assets totaling over 7 million rentable square feet.

Christine was recognized as a Northern California Real Estate Women of Influence Rising Star in 2013 and San Francisco Business Times’ Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business in 2024. She is an active member of CREW and NAIOP and volunteers at the Chinese Immersion School at DeAvila.
